Electrical testing
This usually covers DB inspection, labeling, continuity, polarity, insulation resistance, circuit function, lighting, sockets, and a general check for anything that raises a safety flag. For context on what a full electrical works scope includes, see our Electrical Works in Dubai guide.
HVAC commissioning
HVAC checks look at cooling operation, airflow, thermostat response, drain line condition, unusual noise, and whether there is practical access left for future maintenance. Our HVAC Services Dubai guide covers what proper installation and maintenance looks like.
Plumbing testing
This means pressure testing, checking for leaks, flushing lines, and testing fixture operation. See our plumbing services page for the full scope of works covered.
ELV and CCTV testing
Cameras, the recorder, remote viewing, network points, intercom, and access control all get checked for basic functionality. Our CCTV & ELV Installation guide explains what a well-installed system should look like before testing begins.
Closing snags and handing over
Any issues found get logged, fixed, re-checked, and then handed over with clear documentation. This is what turns the work is done into the work is verified. A proper MEP site inspection earlier in the project significantly reduces the number of snags at this stage.
Before handover, check:
- Electrical circuits and labeling
- AC operation and airflow
- Water pressure and leakage
- Pipe and fixture function
- CCTV recording and remote access
- Network and ELV function
- Snag list fully closed
